About Us
The North Dakota Center for the Public Good is a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization that fosters civic engagement on critical issues aimed at improving the daily lives of North Dakotans.
The Center works with many organizations, individuals,and different groups of people around bedrock North Dakota values such as fairness, opportunity, community, respect, liberty, democracy, diversity, and a hopeful future in our state.
Educational efforts include public forums, information, education, organization building, and other activities that encourage participation in our community and greater economic and social justice.
The Center offers technical assistance that includes facilitation, advocacy training, workshops on public issues, organization development, strategic planning, goal setting, and communications efforts.
Founded in 2001 as Putting the Pieces Together (PPT), the organization and the North Dakota Progressive Coalition reoganized in 2006. PPT changed its name to the North Dakota Center for the Public Good and the 501(c)(4) North Dakota Progressive Coalition became NDPeople.org.
The North Dakota Center for the Public Good is funded through grants and private donations.
